Garbolino, is a retired Superior Court judge, and her mother, Gina Garbolino, is a former mayor of Roseville—Gayle was inspired early on to pursue a career that would impact her community.&nbsp;She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis, followed by a teaching credential from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.&nbsp;She furthered her education with a master's degree and an administrative credential in Educational Administration and Leadership from California State University, Sacramento.Gayle began her career as a teacher, assistant principal, and program specialist within the Western Placer Unified School District.&nbsp;She later served as principal and then superintendent of the Colfax Elementary School District. Her contributions extend to the Greater Sacramento Economic Council, where she has served on the board to help shape inclusive economic development strategies throughout the region. Through these roles, she has consistently leveraged her expertise in education and leadership to foster stronger, more sustainable communities across the Sacramento region.​Gayle’s commitment to education and community service has been recognized with several awards, including the Sacramento Business Journal's "Women Who Mean Business" Award and the Athena Leadership Award from the Roseville Chamber of Commerce and multiple Executive Leadership Awards from the California County Superintendents.<h5>Personal Life</h5>Residing in Roseville, California, Garbolino-Mojica is a mother to two sons, Jack and Max and is a grandmother to granddaughter Maisie.&nbsp;Her passion for education and community service continues to drive her efforts to enhance the educational landscape of Placer County and beyond.
